Maurice Ravel and Erik Satie. The solo acoustic guitar of Diogo Carvalho

reassembles and highlights the lyric, enigmatic and fascinating atmosphere

of the Impressionism, in such a profound and well shaped way

that all pieces sound as if they were originally written for the instrument.

 

Many years of research built a bond between Carvalho and the works

of the impressionists, making possible the careful treatment of the pieces

chosen in this album. The astonishing outcome explores untouched fields

for the acoustic guitar solo repertoire, bringing new challenges
