In this CD, recorded in the U.S., Ulisses Rocha revisits his own work,

demonstrating his uncommon rhythmic, harmonic, and melodic latitude,

accentuating his personal and unique style.

With new solo improvisation in some of the performed pieces,

the repertoire is a compilation of compositions whose original recordings

are no longer available in the market.

 

A mature artist, Ulisses Rocha re-aligns with his roots from Brazilian

popular music and jazz, combining, at once, a greater freedom when

exposing musical themes or improvising, and a deeper sense of sonority.

In this way, the artist steps further in the path that covers

both classical and popular musical languages.

 

The CD also features two new songs, "Delírio" and "Tempo",

whose inspired melodies transport the listener

to the Brazilian guitar tradition linked to folk songs.
